The MDE framework of gamification principles proposes that a gamified experience is influenced by the three spheres of Mechanics (e.g., setup, rules, and progression), Dynamics (a player’s behavior), and Emotions (a player’s state of mind), which also mutually interact with one another. The framework is designed to facilitate the creation and extension of positive gamified experiences.
