Drawing on Self-Determination Theory, this framework comprises four elements that mutually influence one another: (1) Intrinsic Motivation; (2) Game Dynamics; (3) Enjoyment; and (4) Work Engagement. The framework has been designed especially to facilitate research into the gamification of work.
