Description
The Agon Multi-Layer Meta-Model is a gamification-based framework to support the design and acceptance of social software. The framework’s Meta-Model comprises four abstraction layers: (1) the Acceptance Meta-Model (AMM); (2) the Tactical Meta-Model (TMM); (3) the Gamification Meta-Model (GMM); and (4) the Instance Model (IM). A particular Gamification Instance instantiates the Gamification Model, which in turn operationalizes the Tactical Model, which in turn refines the Acceptance Model. Standing outside of that layer structure is the User Context Model (UCM) whose variables characterize the intended players.
